Mental Health Matters

IAUT proudly presents its first Mental Health Panel Discussion “Mental Health Matters” in collaboration with Yaran United –Toronto Iranian Mental Health Association. Presenters are mental health professionals discussing various topics such as Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Mental Health and Law. This free event will provide an opportunity for attendees to either personally ask their questions from the panel or anonymously write their question/concern and have it be answered by the panel during the session.

The panelists are:
-Nazanin Alavi, MD FRCPC presenting on Depression and Anxiety
-Mehr-Afarin Hosseini, MD FRCPC presenting on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
-Hoursa Yazdi, MSW RSW presenting on Mental Health and Law
-Mostafa Safari, PO

Join us to help raise awareness about the importance of mental health, the challenges around seeking support and destigmatization of mental illnesses.
